“Let’s do this”. That‘s Lindsay’s motto. And that’s her philosophy when it comes to running a therapy department. Whether it’s making sure her staff has the equipment they need, or encouraging a resident to tackle another day of physical therapy, her can-do attitude and team approach keep everyone positive. And when Lindsay says “Let’s do this” to a resident, she means the US. She’s a hands-on therapist who gets her greatest sense of fulfillment from working one-on-one with her residents, helping them make the little strides and the big ones, and keeping them focused on the goal. “I love being a therapist. It’s the greatest joy to see someone come here unable to get around on their own, and after a few weeks or a few months, seeing them walking down the hall and knowing you helped them get there. It’s my dream job and I’m living it every day right here at Ontario Center”.

Lindsay’s entire team here is dedicated to helping each and every patient they encounter to achieve the highest possible level of function and independence. And they don’t take “No” for an answer.

Katrina Herman

Director of Social Work

Katrina has a Bachelor of Social Work degree from Roberts Wesleyan College. From her initial interviews with patients and residents throughout their entire stay, she is focused on their specific interests and needs. “I enjoy getting to know residents as well as their family members,” she says. “I particularly favor the moments when I am just visiting and talking with them.”
